Hey guys this is Erik Johnson and welcome to my blog. Today I want to talk to those who want to start their MLM business on the right foot. This video/article is for people who want to think of network marketing as a long term business that they want to do for the rest of their lives. They want to create life changing income.
It’s for those people – it’s not for people that just want to try it out, or they just want to do it on the weekends or they just want to try it. They don’t even know, they’re not sure if it’s a scam or not. This isn’t for those people.
This is for people that want to get their feet wet, they want to go all in. They want to do whatever it takes to get financially free in two to three years, three to five years, whatever it takes, you’re on board, and you want to start MLM right. This video article is for you aspiring MLMers!
So, what would I do if I started network marketing over again. First of all, I would create a blog. You want an About Me page. Okay, this is just one page. It’s basically like an article, it’s a bio. Think of LinkedIn, you know if you created a LinkedIn account you would create a resume or some kind of bio talking about who you are, why people should hire you. You want to do the same thing for your network marketing business, but you can use a blog for that instead of LinkedIn.
And what I choose is blogger com. It’s also called blogspot and it’s owned by Google. So if you create a blog through Google’s platform, which is free, they’re gonna like you because you’re using one of their products. They might rank your articles better than if you’re just starting an article from scratch on a brand new blog somewhere other than blogger.
What I would do is I would get your name or if your name is already taken add marketing to the end of your name so if your if your name is john doe add john doe marketing to it. So it will be john doe marketing.blogspot .com.
And if you upgrade to a paid domain name, they’ll take off that blogspot before the .com so it’ll just say john doe marketing .com. So start there and create a reason why you should work with me, or about me or something along those lines. Have an introduction of who you are, what you do for a living, why you chose network marketing, why you think you’ve found the best network marketing program out there.
You love it because it’s automated because we have high definition landing pages. We have a built in sales funnel where we pay up to 50% commissions, yada, yada, you know, cover some key points.
Then at the bottom of your About Me page, you’re going to have a link. Now you’re going to have to learn how to create a hyperlink. It’s a live link that will go to your landing page of your company. So at the very end say Thanks for reading, click the link here to take a free tour into my business, or my business opportunity. The click here you’re going to highlight with your mouse, and you’re going to create a hyperlink, and the hyperlink is going to go to your landing page of your business, and that’s how you generate leads.
So once you create that once you create your blog, you then go over to YouTube and you create your YouTube channel, using the same name john doe marketing or whatever your name is. And if your name is already taken add marketing to the end of that.
So your channel will be john doe or john doe marketing your first video will be kind of like what your article is about: who you are, why you chose network marketing, what you do for a living. The benefits of network marketing, and why you chose it. Talk about your hobbies, you know you want to introduce yourself to the world.
You don’t want to just hype your business, you don’t want to just talk about how wonderful this is and you can make millions of dollars and this cures cancer. You can’t say any of that – they’re gonna think you’re desperate, you know, that worked in 2013, it doesn’t work anymore. You have to be vulnerable and be real and be sincere and just be yourself and talk about who you are, why you chose network marketing.
Then from there, you can start doing other videos targeting people that you want in your business. For instance, if you’re an engineer, you could target engineers around your age, because engineers make a lot of money, but they don’t have enough time in the day to enjoy their lives. So you can talk about how engineers can get their time back. You do a video for five to 10 minutes, and then at the end of the video you say click the link below this video to take a free tour into my business.
What you can do is add a link from your blog that you just created. Or you can add the link from your network marketing company that goes to the landing page that captures them as a lead. The bottom line is you want to generate leads.
Now why do you do this because eventually you’re not gonna want to spend a lot of money on buying leads, and when you start creating blog articles and YouTube videos, which is basically free it just takes a little bit of your time in a couple years you will be generating leads around the clock from those articles and those videos you created years ago. It just keeps working for you.
But if you don’t create any content. You’re gonna run out of your friends and family to talk to, or you’re going to run out of money from buying $3 leads that aren’t converting, you’re gonna need a lot of leads to get one upgrade.
So if you’re buying $3 leads, you’re probably going to have to spend about $300 to $500 just to get one or two signups, so you’re losing massive money right there, and if you don’t want to talk to your friends and family, your only route after that is social media.
You can learn how to use Facebook, or any of the other platforms, Instagram, or you create content. Ideally you do both, you do social media, you create content and then you share your own content on social media.
So for instance. After you create your blog article, your “about me”, you can share that by using your own social media share buttons which you’ll see on your page. Once you go back to the live version of your blog post, you’ll see share buttons, you can share it on LinkedIn on Twitter, on Facebook, that’s step number one.
Number two is after you get your video done. You can also embed that video into your blogger article, because Google owns YouTube. So since you’re already using blogger their platform, and they own YouTube, there’s a cool little button on your blogger dashboard that looks like a video icon, and you click that and you can pick your own videos that you just created.
So you plug the video you’re about me video into your about me article. Okay. And then you share your YouTube video on your social media, by using the buttons under your own video, Pinterest, Twitter the LinkedIn. All of those you want to share your own content with.
Then from there, you’re pretty much solid, that’s just the basis, that’s your foundation. That’s how you will eventually become a network marketing leader, a network marketing professional, and you can make life changing income, but you have to treat it like a two to five year business minimum, not just something that you want to do, you know, if you’re trying to make a lot of money in the first two weeks, because you’re desperate for money, it’s not going to work.
This is a long term game plan, and you’re not going to make any money unless you get your links out there. And the best way to get your links out there is within content because people will find your content, eventually on Google, because their people love to buy. They’re gonna be searching for things, and your article might pop up. They’re gonna read it. They might watch your video, and they’ll be like, Hey, I like this person. I like their videos and I like how they talk. I like how they sound. I like their vibration, I’m gonna sign up with them.
That’s why content always beats paid advertising, paid leads spammy, you know get rich quick leads on Fiverr, none of that stuff works. If you’re looking for shortcuts there isn’t any and network marketing isn’t easy. If it’s too easy, everyone’s already done it, and it’s spammy – and it’s not effective.
You don’t want spammy people in your business so even if it does work for you, you could be attracting the wrong crowd – the get a rich crowd. They’ll last maybe two weeks in your business, and they’ll be like, why am I not making money yet.
You have to recruit people to make money in this business. It’s not a pyramid. You’re not going to make a lot of money because you joined in the beginning or at the top or at the bottom or under a leader, you still have to create your own team. The best way to do that is to create content. Get that solid foundation going with a blog and YouTube videos and point everyone back to your about me on your blogger, because at the bottom of that blog or article you’re about me or whatever article you create you’ll have your opportunity link.
