They created a team of distributors and customers that equal thousands of people – and the leader makes a little commission from all of them – when they recruit people and reorder product.
The residual income comes from activity of the team. Once you build a team that starts growing without you, you have created a snowball that gets bigger and bigger. It’s the best feeling in the world to watch your check grow as your team grows!

One – Find a Network Marketing that Pays Well
In the old days, network marketing companies only paid around 20-25% commissions. Today, there are MLM companies that pay:
- 50% commissions on first time orders.
- 15-20% Binary Match between legs (get paid on lesser leg to infinity and there’s no spillover of volume. It accumulates monthly, what you don’t use.)
- Get paid on everyone on your team down 10 levels. (most old school companies only pay down 3 to 5 levels)
- Leadership Check Matching – Get Paid 30% commissions from all your first level leader’s Binary Commissions, 20% on second level leaders, and 10% of third level leaders.
- Get 2% revenue share of the company.
- Get a monthly allowance.
These commissions add up quickly. You don’t even need a large team to make over $10k a month.
I always say, keep recruiting until you find 3 to 5 Rockstars and you’ll be making a good passive income.

Two – Find a Network Marketing Company with an Autoresponder
I’ve built 95% of my business solely relying on the company’s automated email system that all our distributors get when they join the company. What I do is I share my website link I get from the company.
The link goes to a signup form where the prospect fills out their name and email. When they do that, I get an email stating I have a new lead.
Then, the company starts sending out a series of emails to my prospecting urging them to join the business. It’s already a very powerful email sequence, but what makes it even more powerful is a “fear-of-loss” dynamic to it.
See, every Thursday at midnight Pacific time, all the paid members leapfrog the free “tour takers.” If you don’t upgrade your position by the cutoff, all the paid members will leapfrog you in the geneology, which means less people in your organization that you could eventually capitalize from later on.
I see 2 to 3 upgrades around the cutoff every week, because of this powerful fear-of-loss system the company uses
Three – Generate Massive Leads
Ever since 2014 when I joined MLM, I have solely prospected in the cold market, aka people that don’t know me.
I got really good at getting leads from automatic sources, like using Twitter’s automated direct message to new followers, and leads from blog articles.
I think cold leads are the best, because most of your warm-market (friends and family) won’t build a huge business, although sponsors like to tell you to start prospecting your warm market because it’s easier in the beginning.
There’s a lot of powerful entrepreneurs in the cold market who can build a huge business who you don’t personally know.
I have found people with experience in network marketing just using my blogs, YouTube videos, and paid advertising.
The name of the MLM game is to generate massive leads every single day, around 20 to 100 leads a day.
I suggest you use paid advertising to launch your new business fast, and create content also and allow it to grow in the meantime. Eventually, your content will generate leads around the clock, which is better than having to buy expensive leads all the time. That’s why most network marketing leaders create content.
One last thing about cold market leads: Your conversion rate on cold leads is around 1% conversion rate. This means you need to generate 100 leads more or less to get one new rep signed up.
If you’re okay with these numbers and understand this is a business that takes a lot of numbers to get going, then you’re bulletproof and will go far. On the other hand, if you think recruiting two people will make you rich, then this isn’t for you.
Four – Teach Your New Reps the System
I like to start my new reps fast and get them paid just as quick. The best way to start your new rep is to teach them only a few things in the beginning so they don’t get overwhelmed.
I send a personal welcome letter to all my new reps that only show them a few things about the business:
- How to log into their business dashboard.
- How to access their own websites to share.
- My #1 Lead Generation Technique
- My YouTube Channel
- The Company Training
Anything else, would overwhelm your new rep and when someone is overwhelmed that don’t do anything. Like I said, leads are the backbone of your home business, so you want your new rep generating leads asap.
Five – Teach Them to Teach Their Team
The majority of your income will come from a team that keeps growing. So, the best way to get your team growing down many levels is to teach your new rep how to teach their new reps the same process you showed your rep.
In fact, I tell my new rep that they can share the same welcome letter I used on them, to just change their name at the bottom of the welcome email to their name. You want your entire team to be generating leads and getting new signups.
That’s how incomes get so big in network marketing. It’s built from thousands of people growing their own business under you.
Don’t be Afraid to Invest Money
Your network marketing business is a real business, and real businesses take a lot of time and money to get up and running. Leads aren’t free, but there’s ways you can generate leads every day by creating content.
But, content takes a year or two to gain enough traffic to generate massive leads, so in the beginning you should do paid advertising. My #1 lead generation technique is a paid ad that I tell my team about when they join my business.
If you’re serious about becoming a home based business professional, you will invest capital into your business just like traditional businesses do. You are still in the most lucrative, least expensive business model in the world, don’t forget that, for under $200 a month you are a network marketing business owner!
