The best thing about network marketing is that you can earn money as you learn. You don’t need to know everything about the business your first week. Here’s some great tips on How to Grow Depth in Your Network Marketing Business for the Most Income.

The magic formula with your network marketing business is called “duplication.” You ideally want to form a team who copy the system you use to recruit people.

Network marketing is all about numbers. The more that people see your websites and products the more sales you’ll get. Ideally, you want to recruit mostly business builders, not just customers. Customers should only make up around 20% of your team.

You get paid a lot more when you recruit business builders who go on to recruit their own teams. You get paid more with distributors because you can earn commissions on everyone they bring in as well. You cannot do this with customers. Customers come and go and don’t share the opportunity with others, therefore you don’t get paid down many levels.

You ideally want to get depth within your organization. You want people recruiting and building teams down 10 levels, or even more.

Of course, this takes time to develop, but within 3 to 5 years of consistent recruiting, you’ll probably have a team that is recruiting “deep.”

The Easiest Way to Grow Depth in MLM

The easiest way to grow depth in MLM is to get everyone on board in generating leads. The best way to do this is to brainstorm with your upline on the best recruiting technique they use currently. You want your team to duplicate this #1 technique. So, when you sign up a new distributor, or paid affiliate as they’re called in my company, teach them right away your number one lead generation or prospecting technique. Most leaders have a video or webinar on the subject.

If everyone taught their new reps this technique, you would start to see your team growing down many levels.

In fact, I don’t even consider a new rep a success until they recruit someone themselves. It might take a year or two just to get your team recruiting down 4 to 7 levels.

However, the good news is, that if your team is down 4 to 10 levels you know you have a pretty solid business foundation.

Starting a new Rep Fast

When I get a new paid affiliate, I send them a simple welcome letter. I keep it simple because simple “duplicates.”

If you give your new rep too much info in the beginning they will get overwhelmed.

I share only a couple things in the welcome letter. I show them how to log in to their business dashboard, I tell them which website I share for the most leads, and then I share my number #1 lead generation technique. I also share a video on my Youtube on how to get started.

Now, here’s where people get tripped up. They think that every new rep they recruit is going to magically build a huge team.

The fact of the matter is, only 10% are going to do anything. The average rep can only recruit 1 to 2 people, then they quit or just turn into a customer themselves.

Leaders understand these numbers and don’t take it personally. They just keep recruiting to find their leaders. You only need 3 to 5 rockstars to make a great income in MLM. So, the leaders create content that recruits people year after year. They start a youtube channel, they start a blog, and they write ebooks. They understand it’s a way of life to create content daily for their business.

So, get thick skin if you want to really go far in MLM, because people are unpredictable. They will complain and quit and sometimes blame you for their lack of success. This happens in every MLM company, because anyone can join MLM, and a lot of them are completely green. Their expectations are through the roof, they except their MLM to pay like a lottery ticket, because they don’t understand that MLM is a real profession with a large learning curve.

The good news is that you can earn as you learn. In fact, I only made a combined $5,000 the first two years in network marketing. But, the more I learned about the profession, and positioned myself as a leader, the more my income grew.
