How to Build Network Marketing with Social Anxiety - No More Loud Salesman

So there’s this new wave of people coming into network marketing. I call it the new paradigm of network marketing – and it’s about time! I’ve been working on this type of technique for a while, and it’s perfect for people with social anxiety – people who are introverted, people that are awkward in crowds, people that are awkward being on the phone, people awkward doing zoom calls. 

It seems like network marketing, if you’re looking at it, if you’ve never done it, and you’re looking at it from the outside, and you’re thinking about doing it, probably one of the first things that really scares you is all the social contact that your sponsor tells you to do. 

You know, a lot of leaders are like, make a list of 100 friends and family you can talk to. But, you know, your sponsor is really aggressive and loud. And he’s like, talk to everyone, and then go on your Facebook and message people you haven’t talked to for five to 10 years. Tell them about these wonderful, exciting products. 

And that’s 90% of the leaders in network marketing. That’s how they sound. And what’s sad is that it’s an old business model. That way of being like, go kiddo. go knock on some doors and pound the pavement and email all of your old contacts and talk to everyone on your Facebook, talk to your parents, talk to your sister, talk to your brother. 

Then, let’s get on some three way calls and we’ll tag team you’re innocent prospects and we will coerce them to get in. These three way calls, it’s like I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to get on the phone with my sponsor and talk to some innocent prospect that just wanted a little more info. 

So there’s this new paradigm of network marketing. I’ve been doing it for the last six years. What it is, is you automate your business as much as possible – 95% of it can be automated, and a lot of new network marketing companies are catching on finally, and they have a built in sales funnel for the reps.

This sales funnel has everything you need to grow your business with. All you gotta do is generate leads to the websites that the company gives you. They’re called landing pages, their signup forms. And some of these companies give you landing pages – it’s a signup form that captures your lead or your prospects info.

Then that lead clicks enter after they enter their info and it goes into the temporary dashboard of the business where they can look around, they can see the comp plan, they can watch the videos by the CEO. It’s called a free tour. 

Because it takes seven to 15 emails or exposures for someone to pull the trigger and sign up. And so most of these network marketing companies who haven’t evolved, they don’t have these landing pages for you. All you get is a replicated customer website. 

There’s a slight chance that someone is going to buy the first time they see your products, but it’s rare. That’s a lost practice right there, just showing somebody your customer website, people aren’t interested. They don’t want to look at products right then and there and pull out their wallet. 

But what they do want to do is get exciting emails from the company. And I’m in several companies that have that automated email system. So when a prospect fills out the form, I get an email that says I generated a new lead, and then the company starts emailing my leads for me. There’s no calling my leads. There’s no calling people. There’s not even any emailing the leads because they get enough emails from the company. 

All I do is get eyeballs on my landing pages by talking about certain things. I don’t even talk about the products. I don’t go around saying these products are the best in the world and everyone needs to be on it. I don’t even talk about products. I talk about automation. I talk about marketing. I talk about how almost everyone wants more money in their life, especially if they’re affected by this craziness. 

They want more money, they might be stuck at home. There’s some really bad off people right now that lost their business. They’re at home. They’re possibly suicidal, they might be drinking and drugging. I want to help them. This blog isn’t just about network marketing. It’s about getting sober and social anxiety and finding God because, you know, without that stuff, life is more than business. 

And so this blog is evolving. I’m talking more vlogging style, talking real to you guys. And I’m just being totally honest with you about network marketing. There’s many people that find my channel and say, Oh, this is so refreshing. I can’t stand that Old School Network Marketing, the pounding on doors and home parties and hotel meetings and three way calls, and stay on the phone all day until you get five signups and talk to your mom and dad. And it’s just ridiculous. These people are obnoxious, they’re from the 80s and 90s. 

People are changing. They’re getting more vulnerable. They’re getting quieter, they’re getting more humbled, and they don’t want a sales pitch. They don’t want to watch an infomercial about your products. They don’t want to watch a 20 minute video about your products. They want to talk to a real person very quickly. 

Now, you could always email me and say, Hey, what’s going on? After you fill out the form, I’m not going to talk to people unless they fill out the form. They got to get in the sales funnel and that’s what you should do. Don’t leave your phone number all over the place unless you want to talk on the phone all day. 

Bloggers do that all the time – you see their phone number on their blog, and you’re just like, Oh man, I bet they’re just swamped with calls. Probably from India too. I want everyone that looks at my opportunity to take the free tour. I want everyone to get in my funnel. And you should do the same thing. If you want people to sign up, get them in the sales funnel

If you’re not in a business that has a built in automated email system, you can take the free tour. I’ll leave a link for my number one business under this article, but I’m not done talking about social anxiety. Because it’s really scary right now. Most people do not know what is going on, and the media certainly isn’t telling you the truth. And you’re stuck at home. You lost your job or you lost your business, and you’re like, I don’t know, network marketing is just so spammy – and I agree it is spammy. 

I don’t talk to anyone about my products or my opportunity, they find me. They find me because I do videos/articles like this. They find me on Google search engines. If you were to type in the best CBD company, I’m probably on the first page. At least I was a year ago. I’m not really writing about CBD anymore. But that’s how I got 70% of the people in my CBD business. 

There were a couple articles that showed up on the first page of Google and people were ready to buy because they’re like, Oh my, I gotta get in this CBD thing. I don’t even know what it is but I gotta get in. And all these old school network marketers and people that want CBD they found the articles and you know probably half of them are gone. 

Now, it doesn’t matter. They probably joined, you know, Avon and Amway because they wanted a loud sponsor. See, when you sign up with me, this is what I do. I send you a welcome email, and it has only a couple things on it. It has the company’s Facebook page, because you should stay on top of the news of the company, and then I give you a presentation of the company, usually, maybe a comp plan video, because everyone’s like, Oh, I got to look at the comp plan. So a comp plan is important. 

But the number one thing I give my new upgrades, my new reps is the number one lead generation technique for that company. Now, every company is a little bit different. But I’ve been in all of these companies for a while and I know it works for that company. So If you sign up with my CBD, I have a number one lead generation technique for that. If you sign up with my precious metals, I got a technique for that.

The bottom line is you want your team to start generating their own leads, and you want them to become independent of you. You don’t want them to start being codependent because the more codependent they are, the more they’re going to contact you for everything. They will forget to think for themselves. Even the most common sense things, the more you help them the more they can’t think for themselves. 

So I get them started. They can obviously text me all they want, you know if they got questions, but I really want them to look at the training first before they ask questions. A lot of people get so excited. They forget to look for themselves. And you want independence because you don’t want to be on the phone all day with your downline, with your team, either. 

You want them to be like, Okay, thanks, Erik, and then they start generating leads. Then next thing you know, they get a sign up and they’re like, hey, Erik, I just got a sign up. You know, that happens usually in a day or two if they follow my formula. Hey, Eric, I got a sign up. What should I do? And then I say send them the same welcome letter I sent you. Okay, thanks. That’s it. That’s as easy as it gets network marketing automated, the new paradigm. 

You don’t have to be extroverted, you don’t need thousands of friends on Facebook. I’m not even on Facebook, I look at the very top part of Facebook and I look at the little message thing, and if it doesn’t have a little one, that I have a new message, I’m gone. I’m out of there. Then I go over to my Twitter. I don’t even look at the trending stuff on this side. I just go to my profile, and I read tweets. The top three tweets, and then I get out of there. Because it’s crazy. bunch of lies. 

And I’m out here in the middle of nowhere. My wife’s gone for three months and I’m gonna just annoy you guys with videos/articles because content works, YouTube videos work if you want to generate cheap leads, do some videos, do a lot of videos, do 100 to 200 videos, the next three to five months. I don’t care if you don’t know about network marketing. It’s not about network marketing. It’s about talking about your life and then maybe mentioning what you’re doing. Say hey, yeah, I’ve lost a few pounds if you’d like to know more, click the link under this video. That’s it!

Don’t tell them your company name. That’s network marketing one 101 – you don’t tell them your company name, you get them to pre enroll. Sign up on that landing page. Take the free tour, and then you’ll start getting emails from the company, then you can see what the company is. But you never just say, hey, join my daily choice with me because then they go Google it. And they’ll find another leader, and they’ll sign up with them. 

You know, in 2018, when I was getting massive signups from those articles, people were signing up with me, left and right, that accidentally meant to sign up with somebody else. And then I had to fill out all these transfer applications. This is when our company was making the reps fill out the transfer applications, and I filled out like 30 of those. It was not fun. 

Luckily, they don’t do that anymore. That’s something that the company does, but I got a lot of people that were like, Oh, I meant to sign up with Betty. You know, and I’m just like, oh my god. These people, they don’t even know network marketing, you’re supposed to sign up with the person who shares the opportunity with you. It’s very easy. their username is in the link. But that’s another story. 

And so yeah, I’m unraveling a little working here in the woods. It’s just me and myself and I and a cat. Talking to you guys, if you have any problems with your business, leave a comment. But I would get a list of 100 titles that you think are just awesome. And for your videos, just write down a list of 50 to 100 titles. So you can go to Google and type in something that interests you, and then look at all the titles of the blog articles and ads and the related stuff searches down below and just scrape titles, change them slightly if you want. 

Then every morning, look at your list and whatever title pops out at you do a video about that. Even if you don’t know much about it, it doesn’t matter. People tell me all the time that my videos are great that I have a lot of information and I’m just like, wow, I thought I was rambling. And the point is, is that people love people, they want to relate. People want to relate. They don’t want to watch your video and hate you. Unless you’re a hater. But then they’re just wasting energy anyways, you know, what’s the point of hating on people? 

But when I meet someone in person, I’m like, Hey, how are you? You know, and I have a positive expectation that I will get something out of this person, we will find a mutual topic, you know, common ground, right? So when people watch videos, they try to find the nuggets in the video. 

So you don’t have to be an expert. All you gotta do is just talk about your life and what you’re doing. I was talking to a guy earlier, and he’s been sober for like 20 years, and I was like, Wow. I wanted to know more about that, like, how did you do it? How do you stay sober? And I’m sure there’s people that watch my videos that want to know more about social anxiety

I had my first panic attack about eight years ago at my parents dinner table. I was visiting them for my weekly Sunday visit, and we were having dinner and I was talking to my dad, my mom was in the kitchen cooking and just my dad and I were talking about my business and I just felt like stage fright, like big flood light shining on me and the place went super quiet and I turned white and beads of sweat started pouring down my face. 

From then on, I’m scared of my parents, my own parents, you know, and they only come visit like, once every two years, and it’s a huge buildup. I get all excited and scared. Not even excited. I wish I was excited, but I’m more terrified. Because I’m like, I don’t want another panic attack. It’s called panic disorder. People don’t want to have another panic attack and so they form panic disorder, which is kind of like, scared of having another panic attack. So you gotta break out of that. Which is really hard because everyone’s staying home right now during the lockdown, or whatever it’s called. 

So that’s about it. I’m glad I’m sober. It’s been about 12 years. And network marketing is the most powerful business you can do because you get a little commission from everyone you bring in and everyone they bring in, down many, many levels. And yeah, people were like, Oh, that’s a pyramid. It’s like, No, I mean, everything’s a pyramid. Even your boss is over you, your job, they make more money than you. 

It doesn’t matter if you join in the beginning or in the middle or the end. In a network marketing business, you have to create that pyramid. You got to create people under you. And you do that by recruiting. And eventually it looks like a pyramid. But you gotta create it yourself. You got to build a team, you got to build an organization, then you gotta teach them how to recruit their own people and then you get paid for your efforts. 

It’s not just handed to you like a, you know, a true pyramid. Yeah, timing is everything you got to get in at the beginning because all the money does go to the top in a true pyramid. But in a network marketing business, you have to create that. You have to recruit people under you, and build teams and motivate your teams and do all this stuff. It’s hard work. It’s just like any other business. It takes a couple years to take off. 

But the beauty is once it gets going, you get a residual income check every single month for the work you did 2, 3, 5 years ago -every single month that keeps coming in. I’m sitting here in the middle of nowhere, getting paid for stuff I did in 2018 2016 2014. There’s still some articles out there from 2014 so put in the work in the beginning, the first 90 days should be a blitz. It should be all out. do two videos a day, do a blog post, spend some money on advertising. Get it all out there. 

Do a launch party if you like, but you don’t have to if you get social anxiety, you don’t have to talk to one frickin soul. Just create content, run some ads. Let the company email your leads. You don’t have to talk to anyone 98% of my business, I don’t talk to my downline. I talked to a couple people on my team. And I have a couple hundred people on my team. It’s not like it’s just me and two guys, but I do text people on my team. But I like them. We have a friendship. 

But I’m not texting people saying: Go Go Go Go, let’s meet Let’s meet the monthly quota. I’m not doing that. They got to talk to me if they have a question, they can text me, but I’m not going to instigate. I’m not going to instigate a conversation with them. I’m not going to be like, hey, Betty, I haven’t seen you recruit anyone lately. I’m not doing that crap. People can talk to me if they have questions, and I’m very happy to help people. 

But I’m not a cheerleader. I’m not going to motivate my team. I’m not going to give them iPads if they hit a certain rank. If you want that, go join another leader. Because, you’re still gonna quit even if you get a new iPad. You might quit a year later. 

That’s what people do. Doesn’t matter how much you motivate someone, they will quit if it’s not in their heart. It has to be their idea. You know, that’s why three waves don’t really work because it’s a tag team. It’s two against one – your sponsor and you against an innocent prospect, and that innocent prospect signs up because if they don’t, they feel shame. They’re like, , man, I gotta sign up because there’s two of them telling me I should sign up. I don’t really want to. 

That’s the crap about three ways. So don’t buy it. If your sponsors like let’s get on a three way say FU. I’m going to have leads contact me. That’s what I did when I signed up in 2014 I was like, I got this Thank you. And then he kept calling and I was like, block. I got this. So I love you guys. If you want to automate it, if you want low key. If you get social anxiety if you’re an introvert, you don’t want to be a car salesman. Take the free tour under this article.
